Hi

Someone from my Housing Provider`s Money Support team is up for supporting through a `phone call to activate my managed migration move to UC....I am just wondering how near to the deadline it`s safe/okay to leave kick starting the claim in this way????

People have to decide for themselves when they want to do it. Many people leave it to ensure they get the last possible payments for ESA and things like housing benefit. You know the dates of when you currently get paid - so it's you who needs to make the decision. Obviously, if there are any problems with your ID check or any other issues, this can delay the completion of your migration. Some people have found it all completed in a couple of days and others it has taken several weeks.
